Liliana Cornila – Dream Of Shell – Unique Wedding Dresses
If the 19th century woman is all about depending on the man and being tied to him (just like the bodices used to be tight on their bodies) – a typical element of that period for women, in our days designers let their ideas just flow and get inspiration even from the tiniest elements of nature.
Now that we have started to speak about the directions and influences that characterized the 19th century bridal gowns, let us also add that later there was a tendency towards black dresses, which denotes a certain need of loneliness and the interior drama, specific to the human being in those times.
In our century designers get their inspiration from life, they love and adopt colors and use metaphors for showing the beauty and the need of top quality fashion. So, women don’t have on them wedding gowns that are tight and really uncomfortable, they wear dresses that are all about imagination, life and in the same time they try to feel in their ease with what they have on.
Getting back to metaphors and the way in which a wedding gown can make you look in our days, we would like to emphasize the fact that the modern woman will totally apply for a wedding gown that is unique and she is not going to wear a duplicate in the bridal day, because her event has to be different from other events and the bridal gown is a thing that makes the difference.
More and more designers try to emphasize this idea of uniqueness and making the difference and the bridal pieces that are realized are certainly something which is apart from the clichés.
So, we went to a bridal gown exposition signed by Liliana Cornila, an artist who puts the accent on unique pieces and ones that make the difference. Her collection was composed of nine gorgeous bridal gowns, with the inspiration from a shell. In fact, the collection was made with the idea of the cloth that has to say something, which has a story beneath it.
The collection speaks about the shell which expects to be wet by the sea and in this manner it gets back to the world from which it belongs to. So, it’s the story of a shell that waits to get its chalk back….
The wedding dresses are made in a thrilling manner and in the same time they have lots of waves and circles that ought to make the difference and bring us totally to the idea of the shape of a shell. The main piece is a gorgeous gown that is designed in a blue tone, a deep blue tone with ruffles and waves!
